Oooh La La!


Evening all!

How you all doing this lovely October evening?  I have been 'trying' some stamping...I seriously am not very good with embossing and stamping, but I am definately giving it a go!!

Here is a 40th birthday card I have made for a friend:


I got the stamps from Pottery Barn - aren't they lovely?  I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

 Incy Wincy Designs #116 - Recycle - I have recycled the pink velvet ribbon on the side from my daughters summer dress!

Fab n funky #95 - distressed or torn - my edges are distressed and torn (whoops!)
Digistamps # 30 - use 2 same embellishments - I have used the black ribbon twice.

Top TIp Tuesday Layer it Up Challenge

Hiya 

Why is it that whenever I get ahead of myself things don't work out correctly? 

I wrote my post for this weeks Top Tip Tuesday challenge and for some reason it didn't show up here and has now disappeared?!!!  Aaaaah!!
Anyways, this weeks tutorial at Top Tip Tuesday is how to make a Pop Up Card - how cool is that?

Top Tip #53 - 2 or More....!

Hello everyone - missed me?!!! 

Cor blimey, no idea whatsoever where these past few months have gone - but hey, getting back into the swing of things and back on the blog!
This week at Top Tip Tuesday we have a fabulous ruffled ribbon border tutorial so our challenge this week is:

2 or more ribbons / lace / twine / fabric

Now, I have over the past few weeks started making things that aren't cards!  I did textiles at school and I have come to realise how much I love using fabric.  I am still trying to remember everything, but for this challenge I thought I would make something for my daughters bedroom.  I have never made one before so I am quite chuffed with how it turned out:


 Recipe: 4 lots of fabric (scraps) / ring from ebay/ wooden letter from ebay / butterfly (gift)

Calling all UK Crafters!!

Please, please, please help me!  I am coming back to the UK on Thursday so I thought I would top up on some craft bits I need, however, as I haven't purchased stuff for many years in the UK I no longer know which is a good online shop to get things from.

I need:

Purplicious Buttons
11cm x 11cm envelopes with matching cards
Very strong double sided tape
Clear gems

I will be buying alot - so if anyone can tell me good websites, that delivers fast and has excellent prices, I would really really appreciate it.

A Bed in a Card!

Morning everyone!

Well, it is my turn over at Top Tip Tuesday to do this weeks tutorial.  I chose to do an exploding box tutorial as I had never made one before but the time had come for me to make one...you will see why further down!!

This weeks challenge is:

WEDDING / ANNIVERSARY

It is that time of year for weddings so lets start spreading the love!!

Anyway, back to my creation....I got contacted from a lady in Holland who wanted to have a wedding card made for her to put money in for her friends wedding.  They were asking for donations to put towards a new bed so the lady asked me if I could somehow get a bed on the card.  Now, I don't do stamped images so I came up with the next best thing....putting a BED IN the card!!
