Morning all!!

What a lovely sunny morning it is over here in Dubai...shame I am stuck in the house with Mr Moo...thankfully he is feeling better and his breathing has improved dramatically, so mummy will stop worrying now!!

I did want to put a a black & white pic in the frame but my photo printer has died a death, so this one will do for now. Its of my gorgeous little girl...only seems like yesterday she was this little...!!

WOYWW #47

Morning all!

Well, what a morning its been...been up again all night with my little boy as he can't breathe coz he has a chest infection and asthma. I was sooo behind on an order for a new customer that I was rushing around this morning trying to finish it. Typically I left making a box for one of the cards as one of the last jobs...now, I have never made one of these and it took 4 attempts before I was happy with it....you will get to see the card on here soon.

Anyways, thought I would give you two pictures of my craft room today as due to the rush job of this order, the whole place is a a tip!! It's going to take a while to tidy this up!!

Happy New Home Day!!

Well, I got asked to make a new home card the other day - and you know what? I have NEVER made one before in my life!! Was told to make it modern and it was for a man, so this is what I came up with. I am definately going through a brown phase!!

Here is mine:

The quote reads: If I had a rose everytime I thought of you, I would walk through a garden forever - how gorgeous is that?!!

As you can see I have used some of my ever faithful handmade flowers - this time I used a different shape to create the petals of the larger flower. I quite like this one!! I am also finally using all my old papers etc, so I'm well chuffed!!

Whats on My Work Desk!

Good morning!

Well, I have come across this Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday - how fab is that? LOL I am sure loads of you already know about it but its new to me!!



As you can see, its a tad untidy....Erm, you can see my bug card that was on my previous post, got a plastic bag full of lace my mum bought over from the UK but I can't seem to find a way to use it!! Believe it or not, that huge white cupboard is not full of anything other than rubbish...think I may have to rectify that one. The little pic with the blue cars on my son made for me when he just turned 3 - love it!!

Gosh, I really need to tidy that don't I before I start to make the next card...there really isn't much room left on my desk LOL!!

Loving them bugs!

Good evening everyone!

Hope you are keeping well on this lovely Tuesday!

Well, at the weekend I was taking one of my daughters birthday pressies out of its box and it had some plastic little strap thingies keeping the toy in place - now, the way it was being held in place was quite good and I thought that it would be a good way to attach accetate to a card for a pop up! Here is what I came up with:

Recipe: DCWV Spring stickers, white card from stash, DCWV Spring papers, accetate.

Wotcha think? I am quite pleased with how it came out but boy, can that accetate be sharp...!!

All you need is friends!

Evening all!!

Do you ever have one of those days, when you try to make a card but the harder you try, the less inspiration you feel? This is the third card I attempted to make today - I had to do a bit, then go and have a cuppa, then do a bit more, then do some washing etc etc....

I was routing around and came across the Curvy Card template I bought years ago - I have only ever made one other card with it, so thought it was about time to give it another go!

In the end I am quite happy with it - I am loving the colour. Normally I am a brown / black / white kinda person!! But I am determined to use my old stash up!! This was some DCWV Pocket full of Posies paper that I didn't even know I had!!

Anniversary Candy - 3 Magnolia Fairytale Stamps!

Well, I was thinking today that I wanted to do a blog candy for being here in Dubai for a year (hasn't the time flown?!), which also co-incides with my two year Blogversary. However, the actual date is when I will be moving house again, and going to UK for hols, so I needed to do it earlier!

Flower Fever!

Hi everyone

Hope you are having a nice Tuesday? I have been having a lovely one..my daughter is still off another week for her Easter hols, so we have been crafting together.

I am well into making my own flowers - definately think is a phase I am going through. I am trying various shapes to get the right 'petal' - think I have narrowed it down to two - one of them being the shapes that make up these flowers.

Have to say I rather love this card - I have had this paper for absolutely ages and never got around to using it, so as I have said on a previous post, I am no longer going to be buying any more papers until I have used up some of my unopened stash that I have had for years!

Memories

Good morning everyone!

What a stunning morning it is over here in Dubai - its 9.30am and already 30 degrees....summer's coming...!!!

I have made yet another butterfly card...why I hear you ask. Well, butterflies always make me smile as when my daughter was little she could never say butterflies, she would always say flutterbies...hence why my blog is called Fluttabyz...everytime I see one it reminds me of my little baby girl.

I have sooooo many of these dew drop thingies in my craft room, that I was getting a bit bored looking at them, so thought I would do something different with them. I found a pic I liked of a butterfly and then started copying it on the card. Now, I am thinking I should have done a sketch line before I started sticking the drops down as I was going freehand and it looks a bit wobbly to me - but hey, its a learning curve!!

Feeling Thankful!!

Morning all!

Well, thats another week nearly over!! Am I the only one who thinks these weeks are just flying past? My mum always said that that was a sign of getting old...!!!
