Last Christmas Card of 2010

Hello!

So I am finally getting around to putting on my last christmas card of the year!!

This one was for my hubby.  I don't normally get the time to do a christmas card for him so he was well chuffed this year!!

I got some lovely stickers from Papermania when I was in Liverpool in the summer and only found them when I was puttng away my christms stuff...so Hubby's card had to have them on!

I think that this colour scheme is lovely - may have to do them all like that next year!!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crazy Challenge #47 - Punch It - snowflakes
Fussy & Fancy - Snow

Well, thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year!

Another tree..!!

Hello everyone!

Did you have a nice Christmas?  I can't believe how quickly it all went!  I did, however, manage to do a card for hubby and kids BEFORE christmas this year, which is a drastic improvement on current years...!!!

I loved making my other christmas tree so thought I would try it again in blues, which are my favourite christmas colours to be honest!

Recipe: all paper/material used are scraps, Making Memories sentiment, rub on letters and snowflakes, Paperpania snowflake brad, bells from ebay, gems from Hobbycraft

Will be back later with my last christmas card of 2010..thankfully!!

Enjoy your week and thanks for stopping by!

Morning everyone!

Ooh, isn't it getting all exciting now??  2 more sleeps to go...woohooo!!!  Feel much more christmassy now as I took the kids to see Aladdin at Panto yesterday followed by a visit to Santa - it was lovely!

Now, this card I made for my friend Natassa and her whole house is done in white - even her christmas tree and ornaments are white!!  So I thought I would add a splash of cool blue in there!

Not a Traditional Christmas Card

Good Morning everyone!

Ooooh, isn't it getting exciting that its sooooo near to Christmas?  Part of me is really sad that I won't be seeing any family this year, but this is the first time in my 10 years with my husband, including since having the kiddies, that we are spending Christmas just the 4 of us.  I am really looking forward to starting our own chirstmas traditions...its going to be lovely.

Speaking of traditions, I wanted to make a Christmas card that wasn't traditional!!  I decided on a star based one, however, I don't have any stars, so after a while of trying to get the shape right, I managed to kinda make one (don't look too close as it as the points aren't equal!!).

Recipe:
handmade star, rope from chocolates, brads from ebay, chipboard shapes from DCWV, ribbon & buttons from stash, glitter stars from Hobbycraft, Christmas tree from my friend, bell from choc bunny, Merry Christmas Rub On from PaperLane

Hope my friend likes it!!  All the bits on there I have had for years but never use..I just went in my embellishment tub and pulled everything out!!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Sentimental Sundays #34 - Inspired by a Song  - mine is 'Merry Christmas'
Lil Red Wagon #59 - Rub Ons  - my sentiment is a rub-on
Cooking It Up #42 - Ribbons & Brads  - flower is ribbon and gingerbread hubby & wife brad!
Crafty Catz #63 - Choose your own  - I've chosen No. 60 - Christmas

Thanks for stopping by and Merry Christmas!

Feeling Christmassy!

Hi everyone!

How are you all doing?  I hope you are managing in the snow, it looks so bad on the news.  I have tried my best today to try to feel christmassy - finding it hard as its very warm here and of course, there are not many decorations in the shop.

Therefore I popped my Santa hat on, started eating christmas cakes, watched The Grinch followed by making some Christmas cards for my friends children.  Whilst blog hopping I spotted someone had done a layered tree (for the life of me I can't find the blog now..if you know, or if I find it, I will post on here).  I thought it would be good to try and this is what I came up with...

Recipe: K&Co papers, sentiment from stash & printed, dew drops from ebay, ric rac from stash, glitter star from PaperLane, charm & beads from ebay

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by and Merry Christmas!!!

Softpencil Thursday!

Yep, its me again!! LOL you don't get any posts most of the week and then you get two off me in a day!! Today is Softpencil Thursday!

We were given a stunning Christmas image to work with - it is really gorgeous. I loved working with this one as it reminded me of my Elise & Harry.

The download we are working with is called 'We wish you a Merry Christmas' and it can be purchased
here.

I have made a little post it note holder for my daughter to keep in her bag, she likes using these in school but if I give her a whole pad they go in a day, so putting a few in each day will make a pad last longer!! She absolutely loves this image and she even said it reminded her of her and her brother!!

Have a great day peeps!!

My first Softpencil Thursday!

YAY! How excited am I to be doing my first Softpencil Thursday!

This week we are working on the fantastic Calenders that Elizabeth has created. My one is soooo adoreable!! Our challenge was to use 2 or more layers.
My calendar download is called 'Looking for my friend' and is availabe to purchase here

I changed the layout of my calendar as I wanted to make a fridge magnet, as I am always misplacing my calendars, and thought this would be a good way to always find one!!

Recipe:
  • Softpencil 'Looking for my friend' Digi download
  • DCWV christmas paper
  • white card from ebay
  • cotton from my newly purchased sewing kit!
  • Coloured with whispers pens
  • little magnets (on the back), from Create & Craft
I have layered up the calender and hand sewn it together to make it easy to tear off when those first 3 months have flown by. I also added the handsewing element around the image - never done this before and quite like how it has turned out!

I can't wait for our next weeks challenge - these images are lovely to work with, so go over and have a look at what the DT have come up with as well as what Elizabeth sells in her store!

Hugs
