Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday #69

Morning one and all!!

Can't believe that it is Wednesdayalready - so you know what that means? A stop over at the wonderful Julia's blog will let you nose into the wonderful messy world of us crafters!!

I have started to tidy my new craft room - well, there is all the final bits to do, but all the craft stuff I got when I was in the UK hasn't got a home yet LOL!

So this is the start of me tidying up...not very successful am I?  LOL - you can probably see the half eaten packet of choccie biccies on top of the red drawers!!  I have used the buttons and dew drops in the jars to cover the wires going up to the screen - much nicer to look at!

I have got some large silver circles from cakes that I don't know what to do with - they are like mirrors - any suggestions?

Also on the table is the stuff needed for my next tip at Top Tip Tuesday - there is a fabulous tip this week about recycling - why not go on over, leave us a tip and you could win any of the 3 prizes, including a Joanna Sheen voucher, and digis from Squigglefly and The Crafty Pad!

Right, suppose I should get upstairs and make a 40th birthday card for my friend - taking her for lunch today...nothing like leaving it until the last minute!!

Thanks for stopping by!

I would have been here sooner, but stopped to look at the recycling tips. I've used most of them, but found a couple I hadn't heard of before. I have a lot of trouble with peeling corrugated cardboard, and it takes me forever to peel enough to be usable.

I sure like those little jars on your desk. They are very colorful. As for the silver circles, I immediately thought flowers. Happy WOYWW (I'm #1).

Those glass jars filled with bits of color are fabulous and useful, can't get better than that! Such a tidy desk!

About the cake circles, you could cut them into quarters or other bits and use the pieces to add a smooth shiny textures. It's not my idea, I bought some foil paper by 3birds on HSN and they used it that way in the demo. TFS!

oooh - chocolate biscuits eh? Plain or milk?

Happy WOYWW!

Ack, I wrote and then I think I forgot to post. Sorry if this is a double.

I love the colored bits in jars, that is so much nicer to look at than wires.

About the silver circles, you could cut them say in thirds, or quarters and use the pieces to add texture to cards, layouts, etc. Not my idea, I bought some lovely foil cardstock from 3 birds (which is how I wandered off and forgot to send the first post). I can't find the examples they had used which inticed me to buy the cardstock. But it was quite lovely lol. TFS!

Looks like a great little space - thanks for the tips. If you prep the circles with gesso or primer you can do all sorts with them colour wise with paints ink and paint and drill/crop-a-dile them later to hang them up!

What a lovely space. The way you've hidden your wires with those beautiful jars is really clever.
Every craft room needs biccies or sweeties and a cold mug of coffee!!! They start out hot but get forgotten every time!!

A lovely tidy desk. The silver cake circles-will they dye with alcohol inks? Just a thought.

I like your jar arrangement, they look very pretty. And as for the last-minute card, I always do that. I knew there was a reason why I don't usually put greetings on them when I make them, lol! Helen (46)

You could put the mirror-like things on your wall to reflect the light coming in the window. Your desk looks great - like all kinds of fun things can be made there.

Is crafting possible without chocolate? You look very organised there, and with plenty of room to work. I'm also loving those jars; it always makes me feel more inspired when I can see lots of colourful things ready to be used.
