Something a bit different!!

Hi everyone!

Hope you are having a lovely week. We had a sandstorm yesterday in Dubai, and the sand got everywhere!!

Hubby asked me to make a card for one of his work colleagues who is getting married on Friday.

Here it is. Recipe:

• cream base card from ebay
• gold card from hobbycraft
• mesh hearts from ebay
• gold ribbon from hobbycraft
• gold embossing powder
  

The hearts in the centre are actually red wood, so i double embossed them in the gold - I quite like how some of the embossing powder got on the wire mesh aswell.

My first Softpencil Thursday!

YAY! How excited am I to be doing my first Softpencil Thursday!

This week we are working on the fantastic Calenders that Elizabeth has created. My one is soooo adoreable!! Our challenge was to use 2 or more layers. My calendar download is called 'Looking for my friend' and is availabe to purchase here

I changed the layout of my calendar as I wanted to make a fridge magnet, as I am always misplacing my calendars, and thought this would be a good way to always find one!!


Recipe:

• cotton from my newly purchased sewing kit!
• Coloured with whispers pens
• little magnets (on the back), from Create & Craft
  

I have layered up the calender and hand sewn it together to make it easy to tear off when those first 3 months have flown by. I also added the handsewing element around the image - never done this before and quite like how it has turned out!

I can't wait for our next weeks challenge - these images are lovely to work with, so go over and have a look at what the DT have come up with as well as what Elizabeth sells in her store!

Howdy!!

How you all doing?

Well, my hubbies aunty has finally passed her driving test in Italy....I believe it has been a VERY long time coming!!

Here is the card I made (ahead of time), for us to send her! I had some fab shiny red card that I have no idea where I got it from that suited making the 'L' - look just like a real one!!



Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend - why does the time fly by so very quickly?!!

Also, was wondering if any of you know how to make two pictures appear side by side instead of underneath each other - its driving me potty!! LOL unintended pun there!!

I like simple at the moment, my friend had me make some very fussy christmas cards (typically forgot to take pics of them as I did them in a rush...!!), so now I am into simple!!

I tried my hardest to make a star out of the wire mesh - did I succeed? I'm not sure lol!

Colour Creates challenge is - Blue, White & Silver, with optional theme of Winter & Glitter. Colours - yep, got them. Theme - yep, got a winter theme and the card is loaded with glitter!!

A Spoonfull of Sugar challenge is - 'Create a Scene'. Well, I have used the Cuttlebug winter scene embossing folder - so yep, done this one too!

Creative Inspirations - New or Neglected. The charm that I have used on this card I have had for years...I got them on ebay soooo long ago when I used to make jewellery and wine glass charms, so these have definately been neglected!

Cute Card Thursday - Glitter Me Silly. Yep, glittered the card silly!



I really need to sort out my proper camera and not keep using the one on my phone as these pictures aren't really getting the details - sorry, will be better next time!!

Charisma Challenge # 43 - No Designer Papers

Morning all

Yep, another challenge has been set over at Charisma Challenges (can't get links to work, sorry).

Ooooh, was I stumped on this one..!!! I had some lovely lime coloured cards from Making Memories and some gorgeous chipboard flowers from Dovecraft that complimented each other well. For the stems I used some rub ons from Papermania. Here is my creation:

Was just looking through some pics of cards I have made and found this one that I hadn't put on here yet. It was for a Tinkerbell fan...
